UPDATE: April 8th @ 7:30 AM - Listened to NOAA this morning and the forecast is “Partly Sunny’ with the threat of thunderstorms increasing after 4 PM. Where ever we go needs to be close by so we can get back before storms come in. I will be at Longhorn Harley at 9;30 AM. Hope to see you there!

UPDATE: Sunday, April 7th - The forecast looks a little dicey but we might get lucky. Let’s plan to meet at the dealership at 9:30 AM tomorrow morning and discuss options. I’m thinking the area around Ennis might be a good target location. We will ride south and approach Ennis through Blooming Grove. See you tomorrow! Will

Want to see who is interested in doing an eclipse ride. There were four of us that rode the last eclipse in 2017. We weren't sure of where we were headed when we left but decided to head northeast the day before the eclipse. We spent the night in northeast Arkansas, wit the strategy of going either northwest or east the next day, depending on the weather. Clear conditions were forecast for Fort Knox, Kentucky the next day. As an added bonus I had a cousin that lived there. She invited us to stop at the house for the eclipse. We stopped in Memphis the next evening for dinner, and spent the night in central Arkansas on the way home.
Fortunately this time the eclipse is going right over us so we may not have to travel too far. There are several local options including Ennis and Lake Whitney. Unfortunately the current forecast is for thunderstorms so we may have to leave on Sunday and find a motel someplace.
If you're interested, we can discuss it at this Thursday's Chapter Meeting. See you there!
